The San Joaquin Street Mural

The San Joaquin street mural project was funded by a

2009 grant from the Stockton Arts Commission with additional support from the Downtown Stockton Alliance and several Stockton Businesses. Joy Neas, a Stockton-based artist, historian, and arts advocate spear-head the mural project, securing additional support and funding for the mural's completion.

The mural was the brainchild of Dolly Sellars who submitted the initial idea for the project. Other collaborating artists in the piece included Orlando Lopez, Araceli Medina, and Daniel Villa.

The mural was unveiled on September 11, 2009. To learn more about the project see attached PDF file here.
